CBB Quote Button Missing

Hi, me again... :P

My quote button is missing on my viewtopic, I have no idea what would cause this.

http://68.48.55.94:27015/modules/newbb/viewtopic.php?topic_id=4&forum=20

(It does the same to logged in users, you can login with guest/guest to see)

What would cause this???

Have you just recently upgraded CBB? The quote button is now only visible when you have pressed reply, it should be available on the editor page.

Yeah this is new. if you click reply then you can quote multiple posts at the same time.

It does slow ya down a bit if you are a quick reply user.

I haven't updated, it's a new install, but I think I have the newest ver, so yes.

When I hit reply it takes me to the editor, and there is a quote button (one of those generic "submit" looking buttons) next to preview, but I don't know how it works.

I pressed all the reply buttons, they all just take me to the editor (that is identical to the one on this forum).

If it is working right, it's still going to confuse people on my site (a few are... not all that bright), so could you tell me the last ver that had it like this forum or tell me what code to edit?

with cbb 3.05, i'm using this tip :
edit /modules/newbb/class/post.php, go to line 393

/*
$thread_buttons['quote']['image'] = newbb_displayImage($forumImage['p_quote'], _MD_QUOTE);
$thread_buttons['quote']['link'] = "reply.php?forum=" . $forum_id . "&topic_id=" . $topic_id . "&viewmode=$viewmode&order=$order&start=$start&quotedac=1";
$thread_buttons['quote']['name'] = _MD_QUOTE;
*/


remove /* and */ to uncomment this part.
save the file.
the quote button is now available for each post.
it works for me

Some of the new 'features' in CBB baffle me and most seasoned forum users too I suspect. The way the transfer button works is awful IMHO.

I personally can't see an upgrade advantage from CBB 1.16a where everything important worked and made sense. Later versions seem to be adding little and breaking useful features that previously functioned.
A thread is for life. Not just for Christmas.
