I have downloaded the zip file for a new theme. How do I get it to upload? Everytime I try to upload any of the files that were in the zip file, I get an error that says "This file is not allowed".
I am so new at XOOPS and have read the documentation help pages, but I really can't figure this out.
Please help.
Thanks

You need to use an ftp program to upload themes.

It sounds like you may be trying to import themes into the template upload option. (Easy mistake - many people do this .. including me )

you need to upload them via ftp

You can do this with an external application or with cpanel.

If you are using cpanel ya gotta upload the zip and decompress it there.

If you wanna use an external app, I like WinScp

Hey thanks! I used FTP to upload it to my website files. (httpdocs) (I am probably not using the proper terminolgy - I am really a beginner at this.)
I did that, but in the administration menu, template set manager I can't find it. Any ideas??

Re: Themes?

How about you try these tutorials. There is one for unzipping a theme and one for deploying (installing) a theme.
