I can't seem to find a module that allow users to attach files . I've seen some in email modules, but that's not what I need, just a simple module that allow users to attach files.

Try smartsection (for articles to acompany the upload)or smart downloads ( for simply uploading files) from smart factory. If you want to experiment go to module testing site
