In looking through the themes, many go back to 2004. Is it still OK to use these themes with the latest XOOPS releases?

Thanks..knotty

as fare as i know old themes are compatible with 2.0.14 and 2.0.15 ( the latest releases) but will not utilise the new block positions. By using the default theme as a base it is simple enought to update themes to use the new blocks though

Most older themes needs a very simple update to make them work.

1) The way the javascript is included needs to be changes.
It's usually enough to insert the following in the head of the theme.html file:
Quote:

<{$xoops_module_header}>

2) To use the new block positions, you will need to modify the theme a bit further... I'd recommend you compare an old theme with a new theme, to see the changes.
Best regards,

Thank you all very much, I will try making the mods today. Yes, by far XOOPS has the most nice themes.
