I am new to XOOPS, and my idea was to create a very simple static web-site first. I want each menu item to link to a certain HTML page. And also I want to have a possibility to edit each HTML page directly from the admin interface.

I studied several modules but they don't fit my needs. For example TinyD/TinyContent allow to visually create several HTML pages, but these pages are linked from submenu. I want each main menu item to address one HTML page.

MyPage is something very similar to what I want, but it doesn't have visual editing. Can you please help me to find a module like MyPage, but with capabilities to visually edit its contents?

Thanks in advance

You can use a content module ...like TinyD, but I haven't much experience with that one.

Other modules that can be used for handling content are:

News
SmartSection
Article

After chosing a module you create the content pages you need and you get this module:

Multimenu
to make your own personalized main menu with the url's you want

- the above modules have been kept updated by the authors and have worked very well for me.
