Before I pose my question I have to say "Kudos to the developers and community of Xoops" I'm new to it all but I love this program!

My problem...
I am creating a site for a non profit group and I would like a block on the home page for each of the committee members to post thier blurb. The block would contain users blurb, photo, stats, contact links etc. The problem is that many of them can barely retrieve thier email so html or php is definately out.

Is there a way to pre-format a block with tables, users photo, and a block footer containing constants so that when a users logged in they would only need to type thier blurb and not even have the ability to modify the formatting of the block?

Thanks in advance for any/all help,

Steve

Welcome to XOOPS!

The first thing that comes to mind is that most of the user info you want to input and display is available thru the member's profile. Users can enter their contact info and blurb in their profile and you could write a block that displays the info when they log on.

The second thing that comes to mind is a module called Userpage by Hervet. It provides a personal web page for registered users. Members can enter simple text or get as fancy as their abilities will allow.

Good Luck!
