jdseymour has done a lot for the XOOPS community, so the word invaluable is not appropriate in this case.

Do you wish to keep all the data from this installation, for example do you already have users registered, or posted news items, links etc. or would a complete new installation be fine with you?

In case of a completely new installation, I would recommend to use a different database prefix in the mainfile.php file. That way you do not need to remove the data from the previous installation.

I had the same issue with the missing module icons. I uploaded module files using Filezilla which is a good program at times. I noticed the issue afterward so I uploaded the files again using CoreFTP. Now I see the module icons. I guess, some FTP software have bugs every now and then.
