THis would be great, I would do it but Im a novice when it comes to php, though I am getting there.

I would like to see something like this too.

There is Gaming CMS in existence called igamingcms which has the features yu want, but it appears as though the developer has lost interest. Perhaps someone smart enough could come up with a module from parts of that script (since it's open-source - or I think it is)

I agree igamingcms is nice but there isnt any support nor not as nice as Xoops- maybe Ill see if we can convert it?? If anyone could help Id appreciate it

I'm sure it could be done. I have some experience in converting PHP scripts to Xoops, but only scripts that didn't require an admin area, templates or blocks. There is a fair bit of stuff in igamingcms that wouldn't be needed, but it would still be a bit of a challenge. There are people here who may tackle the conversion. I'll see if I can find an old thread and revive it ;)

i'd love to have that module.

it'd also be great if there were versions of the module with slight modifications so it could be used for music, books, or tvshow/movie overviews
...
