I have 3 questions.

1. Where do I edit what the activation e-mail says.

2. Can I change the page that they return to after activation?

3. This one could be a tuffy... I am using the profile mod from XOOPS for Dummies, I love it but I would like to make it so if a user has not filled in this profile info they are directed to that page every time they log in. If they have filled it in then they are just directed to the frontpage after login.

That last one might be impossible but take a stab at it.

thanks everyone!

I can't help you with the redirect but the email sent upon user activated registration uses an email template located at root/language/english/mail_template/register.tpl

The redirection after activation can be changed by editing user.php (in your XOOPS root). Several different cases are handled by this file, so make a backup before editing!

Line 128 is where the redirection is set for after activation. change 'user.php' to wherever you want to go. The number that follows is the length of time to display the redirect message, and a variable (from the language files) for the message to display.

I don't know if you are familiar with Profiles Mod but it allows for images and such. I enjoy using it but I want my members to be directed to the create profile page when they click the activation link in the e-mail. Thus encouraging them to complete it.

My reference is correct for XOOPS 2.0.13 - 2.0.14. What version are you using?

I got a similar issue. I got a friend who I am trying to help out, he wants two different logins for two different types of users to the same site... A breakdown:

1) User group A can be normal rego form
2) User Group B should be entering more information on the rego form.
3) Usergroup B needs to be flagged as a differnt user group once they try and log in.

Basically it will be like one login for advertisers the other for end users. or if you like imagine sport site for two types or teams, and of course you just want to automatically register them as one side....
any ideas?

I was thinking, even if I customised a template so that it goes to 2 different static(non dynamic) rego form pages, just to post the data to the data base, would that do the trick ?
