Hi,

I installed the latest version of the RSS aggregator Planet from www.xoopsforge.com.

I found it really interesting, and added a side block with the latest headlines. But unfortunately this side block doesn't update itself from time to time, it only gets updated when calling the whole module Planet (i.e. clicking on the module link).

Is there anything I oversee?

I also tried XMLline, but since I don't have access to cron on my servers, I can't really update feeds in XMLLine as well.

Any ideas?

do you enable cache for side bar block?

No, I did not activate the cache.

I guess I misread you.
Do you mean UPDATE the content by displaying the BLOCK?
If so, it is not designed so.
You could add <img src="UrlOfYourPlanet/update.php" width="1px" alt="" /> to any block you would use

Yes, I meant "updating the content when displaying the block".

That's the meaning of an RSS block, isn't it?

But OK, I could add this call you mentioned to another block, but wouldn't it be a good idea to let the block update itself (like Xhld does) instead of having to have another block to update the RSS block?
