Somebody else created my site using XOOPS and now I want to add a module myself. How do I do that?.
Yes this is the absolute starting point. Yes I have searched through documentation to try to find the answer myself. Yes I have asked the person who built the site to tell me how to do it.
I know the type of module I want to add, just a basic information page, but how the hell do I add it to my site and allow people to link to it from the home page.
This is probably the stupidest question ever so can someone respond in a way that even a really stupid person could understand.
I don't understand what csl-rt3 means. I know html is a basic language and I know some of the code. I can get to my admin page and the modules section but where is the #OOPS#ed button that says: to add a new module click here!!!!!!????!!!???!!!???!!!.
I thought this was supposed to be simple but it is beginning to piss me off after weeks of trying.
Please help
Anthony

Re: How do I add a new module?

Whoah fella...calm down.... The documentation is one place but there are others...In FAQ there is a whole section on modules and for quick and easy learning try these module tutorials Bookmark this site as all the XOOPS tutorials lens themselves to quick and easy learning.

Above all else go easy on yourself and give yourself time to learn the lingo and how to do it. Don't expect it to be as easy as making a cup of coffee from a coffee machine! It's not. The is not button to ad a ne module until you find the one you want, download it to your PC, unzip it, locate the correct folder, upload it via FTP to the correct place on your site...then you will see an install button! - it's all in the tutorials...go through them one at a time. Have them open while you do it...HTH
