Every time i try to install i get to where it verfiys database information. I have geen on everything. I hit next it goes blank. Then nothing for there. I am using firefox.

Please do a couple of things - first go to the docs website and check the installation manual. Second go to the FAQ's and check the section on installation and troubleshooting. If you don;t find answer here form the links on the left then check the 'read before you post' and give us more information about your versions so we can help you. There is nowehre near enough information in your request at present for us to offer spcific help because of the variations in versions.

hi there,

the moment between the last verify page for the database settings and the actual connection testing went blank.
If there are specialized version-dependant problems that can cause this, too, list them.

My problem was much simpler,
on my testsystem, deb sarge 3.1 stable with the usual apache2, mySQL 4 and php4 versions (latest apt update/upgrades inside)

a module for php4 was not installed by default : php4-mysql

After apting that little peace o' software it worked on first try.

I got it working it was because of the php5.0 not with mysql.
