what do you general think about this:
i have asked an website owner that is administrating an site that works in cms to make some modifications and he said he cannot do those changes!
i`m working for that company and i`ve telled him to make an new formulaire in php to add one more element more exactly and he said "i cannot do this" but he didn`t explain why!
it can be an premaded cms?and he doesn`t know to make the changes?
also he have set one folder for the pictures uploading:
/upload/admin/pictures
when i upload an picture that is named 001.jpg to an offert is uploaded in that folder and the picture appears on site on offert!
if i upload another picture with that name is uploaded in the same directory and is owerwriting 001.jpg that is allready there and show to the other offer on site the last 0001.jpg picture that i`ve uploaded!
i`ve telled him to solve this problem and when you upload the pictures to be renamed automaticaly from 1 to 9999...
this time he didn`t said to me he cannot do this he said when i put the pictures from the camere to computer to rename the pictures and to put the names of pictures:picture001timedatehour for all pictures
he must be crazy i will lose lots of time doing this...and this job should be done by him!
also i`ve emailed him and gived him another solution
to make an photo management sistem on admin part and to make folders for each type of offert on site for villas one folder for comercial spaces another folder and an manager of images in admin to see exactly what are the names of the pictures to upload them with another name that is not allready there!
he said to me that my exprimation is wrong and that i am an idiot and he teled me to put his solution to rename every picture with time and date and hour just not to be owerwrited!
as i see he doesn`t have an solution and he doesn`t wants to apply my solution!
what do you think is he using an premaded cms sistem and that`s why he cannot do the changes or?!

Is this administrator managing the site for you? I mean are you paying him/her to manage your site?

Otherwise, even if what you're asking isn't difficult maybe the website owner manages the site when he/she has some free time and maybe they're busy right now. I have several sites that I don't make money with and manage in my spare time. Lately I haven't had a whole lot of spare time so the site suffers.

It's also possible what you're asking is beyond the experience and knowledge of the website manager. XOOPS is pretty easy to setup so just about anyone can do it. But modifying it is another story. Some modules break other modules, you have to be aware of version issues and more. If someone just uploaded XOOPS and customized it some, I wouldn't assume they're comfortable enough to do what you're asking.

Lastly, consider offering to help. Do some leg work on what would be involved. Instead of demanding the manager do this for you, ask nicely, be very patient and offer to help out. You might get better results.

If so, be nice and do an important thing for everybody.
First, tell your collegue that you'll take his job.
Then, explain to your boss how you will do it.
