Hello,
I'm tired of waiting for a new version of XOOPS to come out.
I'm looking for an experienced RELIABLE Xoopser to do some dev work on my website EclipseMagazine.com. I want to take it to the next level and incorporate a bunch of broadband features. Basically I want to build some subsites similar to MTV's The Vspot, or Gametrailers.com or Gamevideos.com or IGN, with that kind of functionality.
So what I need are a couple of things -
1) improvements made to the news Module - "minor hacks" (or an entirely new module) that include article sorting, some better display options, true multi-category functionality. I'd like to display my blocks by category and news topic - for instance, I'd like to have all of my Movie stuff - news, reviews, rss feeds (something along the lines of gametab.com), etc grouped together with it's own group of blocks. Real URLs. I also don't want whatever the latest article is, to be the "real url" name for the site.
2) Multi-Site capability - I want to be able to run a network of broadband websites, and split my current site into 4 different news sites run on sub domains. Right now the content is out of control, and I desperately need to split all of our coverage areas into things like movies.eclipsemagazine.com, dvds.eclipsemagazine.com, etc.
I don't want to lose my legacy content, which is why, I want to stick with Xoops, and use Sub domains, so that hopefully when they launch, I can set each news topic category to map to the subdomains with minimal fuss.
3) A Drupal Video Module conversion. Drupal has a couple of great video modules, one for display, and another that is a RSS Video Module that displays videos from sites like YouTube, Google, etc. I'd like to get those converted over to an XOOPS format as well.
I'll probably think of more things, but these are the most immediate. I will tell you upfront, that I'm only going to pay a 3rd of your quote upfront. I've been burned EVERY time I've attempted to hire a XOOPS developer, and won't ever pay another one in full (before I see the finished product) again.
If you think you can do it and work under these conditions, please email me at
malexandria@eclipsemagazine.com .
