You cant do it like that ... get back to the other original thread.
1. because i think gmail does not support that
2. becuase awardspace has fsocket disabled and therefore you won´t get an outside smtp connection anyway
I asked it already in the other topic, but I'll ask it again in a case someone would read this topic only
Yes, it's free, but that's not the issue
I found so many other free SMTP servers
look at that:
http://www.freemailguide.com/free_pop3_email.htmlThere's a big list of free SMTP servers!
The issue is I can't configure it properly
Look at this topic
http://forum.awardspace.com/viewtopic.php?p=14173#14173(It's a topic at Awardspace.com's website forum)
What is the "Path to sendmail" what is it?!?!
What should I put in it?!?!
I checked other peoples' problems with XOOPS (googled it) and I saw so many people complained on the same problem I have (that after registration activation email isn't sent) - and the solution they were offered is to check with the host the details
But that's not it!!
I just wanna know what is exacly this "Path to sendmail"! What is it?
And why is it set on
/usr/sbin/sendmailWhat is this
/usr/sbin/sendmailthere is no directory named USR in my webspace host!
Neither SBIN !!
So what exacly is it?!
And should I change it to what?!
Suppose I'm using a free SMTP server - what should I put in??
I didn't see an answer for that, and it's so bothering me
