there seems to be something wrong along the way.
** Rule No.1 for me is to keep XOOPS updated to it's stable version, (until today's date it's 2.0.14 for me)
you should do that, before it's too late and gets more complicated
then you can you can click ¿forgot password? and you'll be given a new password you can later modify...even if you're sure this can work, you can reset it
PS. your browser has to accept all cookies too
