I've just uploaded the iMenu module to my modules directory but it doesn't show up.

Anyone know how to use the iMenu module?

I had trouble with that module too.

Perhaps you would try MultiMenu ?

Tried that one too.

I can install it but for some reason the menu items don't show up on the main menu or even the user menu.

I've found that many of these mods do not come with documentation on HOW to use them. Unless that information is available somewhere else that I don't know about?

Of course, many of my problems could be because I'm so new to Xoops.

Re: iMenu - Not appearing in module admin.

Hello, we have released a revision to iMenu as part of our Formulize project:

http://www.freeformsolutions.ca/formulize

Users have reported issues like this with iMenu, and they have been tracked down to the language constant files (language/english, language/french, etc). Something about the linebreaks is tripping up the PHP parsing. If you open the language files in a text editor and make sure that the linebreaks are in the right place, save and then upload the updated files, that should fix the problem.

We will be correcting this in our 2.1 final release.

The version of iMenu that we have released has a few fixes and extra features compared to the original release. Details are in the readme file that accompanies our copy of the module.

I hope this helps, good luck,

there is a search button on the top right menu...type in anything - multimenu for example and you will be doing some excellent research!

Cheers

Is there a way to add a page to the main menu without creating a new block of menues?

I added it to the main menu but it actuall creates submenu then I have to click that menu to open the next menu to get to pages that I created.

I've tried many combinations without success.

Correct - with Multimenu you create your own blocks - which can either sit along the user or main menus - or you can disabled these and just use multimenu blocks.

The module comes with a lot of example menus, and some pretty decent instructions - so its definately worth experimenting with.

So you recommend Multimenu module?

It just seemed so confusing.
