Changing Themes???

I have read on the forums before i posted this i found some help on how to do it but i am stuck.

I went into admin then prefences then general and chnaged the theme but my webpage still looks the same???

darkblizz.net

i want that front page to look different how do i do that??

There are two areas in preference that deal with themes. One is "selectable themes" the other is "default theme"

selectable themes defines which themes are available in the theme block. To utilize the theme block you must place the block and make it visible, via that blocks administration menu.

Default theme declares the default theme for guest of your domain. Unfortuneatly certain XOOPS versions give users the oppurtunity to decide what theme is default for them. This may be your issue. To resolve it, go into preferences and unselect all of the unneeded themes from the selectable themes menu, leaving only the theme you want to make default.

ok i got that thanks now how to i add news and such to the main page i made a new topic but i have to click on news to see it.

You have to add it using the blocks from the blocks admin. You will probably also have to make sure the group or groups have permission to view/access the block and module from the groups admin
administration/system/blocks
administration/system/groups

Also check the FAQs and Documentation from community menu on your left.

Ok so i did some seracing around and i am still stuck i got what you ment by the blocks thats was kinda what i ment but what i mean is check my site http://www.darkblizz.com see the ceneter where the news would normally be i don't see it i am trying to figure out how to get something there so i can have a sorta funcatual page.
