Hacked and Mangled.

Well, my site was finally hacked.

The database is fine, however several files were replaced and directories deleted.

How can i recover this? I am running XOOPS 2.2.3a

Do either you or your webhost have a backup?

Long story. My host (powweb) are migrating to a new platform.

My backups were lost the same time the hack ocurred.

Can I copy the directory structure up to the server and change the mainfile.php settings manually?

Should be no problems reuploading the files (as long as you have all files originally there.) What files and folders were actually damaged in the attack?

Once you get up and running again, don't rely on a host for backups, make sure you keep backups yourself. It makes life much easier.
