How can I retrieve my original password instead of getting a new password?

Hi there,

If I place my email under “Lost your Password?”, the system will resend me a new password instead of my original password. Is this by default? Can I modify the setting so the members in my XOOPS site who have lost their passwords can retrieve their original passwords? Thanks.

It's defaulted that way:
It sends them a new password so they have a means to log back in and then go into their account and change the password to one they might be able to remember this time.

The passwords are stored using one-way encryption. If a password is lost, the only solution is to change it to a new password.
