page wont open when going to xoops directory

when i head tohttp://indieville.net/home7, the page loads as blank, but if i hit reload it starts. what could the problem be? what do you guys think?

i am having the same problem at the moment. were you able to solve this? I am suspecting it is not so much a problem of XOOPS but of my server/.htaccess file... but haven't got a clue as what it is exactly.

debug shows nothing.

Takes a long time and for me even though it shows done it isn't finished loading. Other XOOPS content/module pages load fine so I doubt it is an .htacess problem.

What version of XOOPS are you using?

Is this a module trying to load? A theme? What module? Where did you get it?

i experience the same problems with the site from the original post. as for me, the problem occurs onhttp://www.galileeschool.org

i am using XOOPS 2.2.4

the problem is not one of a module, but simple that when accessing the site root for the first time, a user sees a blank page. hitting refresh/reload bring up the page without problems.

after that, the problem is gone until you wait a bit (cache cleared?) and try to access again: same thing happens.

For Snipsr:

It finally loaded and I am not sure if this is causing the problem or not but I don't see a close head tag in your source for this page.
</head> is missing!

There is also some sort of error on the main site page. Just in case you didn't know.

I am experiencing No Problems from your site. It loads fast and is a really nice site. I surfed around and everything seems to be loading and working great from here.

I am using IE latest version (NOT 7). Heck I have enough trouble just trying to get modules to work right etc and very little time so I haven't even messed with Firefox yet. One day, soon-probably.

haha, well, i am having this problem indeed in firefox (cant test in IE since I am on Mac). thanks for your help and if i find out anything more, I will surely post it up.

Maybe someone will see the post and one of the other members will check it out using firefox. If not. Post a new thread asking for site check from a firefox user. That way you get both sides of the check and maybe some help with it if it is a FireFox issue and XOOPS version 2.2.4. You might want to do a search for 2.2.4 to see if any threads deal with FireFox issues or similar to your problem.
