RSS on a password protected xoops community

I am using this calendar module called 'eXtCal' which is fantastic. eXtCal offers RSS feed for posted events, however, my XOOPS community is a password protected community and hence the RSS feed doesn't work when I copy the link to an external RSS reader.

Was wondering if there is a workaround for this?

The tools are there, but need some work to tune
