That should be in Preferences >> System >> Meta Tags and Footer.

Did you look in the location DavidL mentioned and edit it out there? If so, and it is still showing up, what theme are you using? It could be at the very bottom of your theme.html.

I am not quite sure I understand what you mean, but if you are talking about the Powered by XOOPS 2.07 at the bottom then look in your admin/system/preferences/meta tag and footer area to see if it is there and remove it.

Near the bottom of your fox/theme.html you will find the following: You need to delete the Powered by XOOPS 2.0.7

Powered by XOOPS 2.0.7

You may need to clear the cache so changes take effect, sometimes it helps. You need to delete all the files in the templates_c but the index.html

Maybe it has something to be with the theme you are using. Maybe the Powered by.. is embedded in the theme. If you know how to edit the theme, do it, otherwise, post the content of /themes/the theme you are using/theme.html
Sorry for my bad english... :)
I love to learn, feel free to tell me when I misspell something.
Using Xoops 2.0.16, FC4, PHP 5.0.4-10.5, Apache 2.0.54-10.4, mysql-4.1.20-1.FC4.1.
