Is there any module which allows an "email to forum" option (essentially creating a mailing list for those who opt in)?

If there's not then I'd like to request one

That's exactly what I need.
Basically, I'd like my membership to be able to interact with the site just via email if necessary. Getting email notifications WITH the news content, and sending comments back to the website via email. Kind of like a Yahoo group.
