anyone tried porting this into xoops?

http://www.thompsonbd.com/guestmap.php

Its a google map where the users can pinpoint themselves into the map.

I saw the googlemap module but it doesn't have any other functionality except for surfing maps.

Interesting.

I have ported the Globetrotter guestmap to XOOPS (see my site)but it has a few issues, such as not being able to delete entries, and some markers not appearing in Firefox.

My site also has a Clustr Map, which is a combination guest map and counter, but it's just a bit of HTML code pasted into a custom block.

i checkout your site. looks pretty neat. would be cooler if it can do zooming to specific region and labeled with country names

Clustr Map? hmm never tried that before. will test it later.

I think that may have been on the cards, but I just checked the site http://www.xenolth.biz and they have stopped developing the script as of April 1st 2006 :(
