Hi I'm trying to integrate the very cool multimenu into my site. It's all hunky dory except for one thing - I'm struggling to get it to fit into my 'gradient theme'.

Can anyone tell me if there's a way I can make the background colour of multimenu transparent? Is there a 'transparent' value in html or css that I could use? This'd work perfectly if there is!

I thought I'd better see if some genius could tell me some clever trick anyway!

ok, for the horizontal menu (multimenu_dyn_linkshoriz.html)

edit the template, and change these value :

background#DDE;

with

backgroundtransparent;

update your template.

hi blueteen,

thanks very much for your reply - I'm actually needing to use the horizontal CSS dropdown. I presume the template is multimenu_dyn_horiz_css.html - however I can't find a similar bit of background code?

Do you know where I should insert/find the appropriate data?

Many thanks for your kind help!

edit multimenu_dyn_horiz_css.html
you'll find :

<link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="<{$xoops_url}>/modules/multiMenu/script/08/basic_dd.css" />

<
link rel="stylesheet" media="all" type="text/css" href="<{$xoops_url}>/modules/multiMenu/script/08/basic_dd_ie.css" />

you must modify these 2 files ti change your menu display.

hmm I've had a play with all the background settings - but I can't seem to make the background transparent (I can make the text, the links, the menu etc transparent!)

Do you know off-hand exactly which lines determine the background colour of the menu?

of course - go to cgenie.net and you'll see the multimenu at the top - look at the far right and you'll see there's an annoying bit where the right block doesn't quite line up by one pixel because the multimenu is too short - however I'd also like to use a nice gradient image made in photoshop as the background of the multimenu - so if I could make the white background transparent then it'd be perfect!

in fact www.cgenie.net will show the correct effect - for some bizarre reason without the www. seems to mess up the site display, even though it's loading exactly the same site?!
