I want to use a theme I am using on my Nuke site for Xoops, because there is no real decent themes (atleast none that I have seen) for Xoops. SO my question is how hard is it to convert a theme from Nuke or phpbb to work with Xoops?

doesn't look that difficult to convert, would you be interested in having it converted?

@Hikaru

Before you begin seeking the theme be ported perhaps you should seek consent from the original author.

Bassman: I was going to attempt to port it over myself, as I would like to learn the inner working of XOOPS and how it works.

This way I can provide

I am one of the co-arthors of the theme, and besides I am using it for my personal use, not trying to distribute it.

Bummer, its a nice theme. anyways you can find an FAQ about theming in the FAQ section. Basically all you need to do is get it down to a template then add in the <{$xoops_codes}>

header
l_block loop
cl_block loop
cr_block loop
cc_block loop
r_block loop
footer

download any graphic theme and you will see exactly how to do it.

also check out some of these

http://www.xoopsfactory.com
http://xoops-tips.com/
http://mywebresource.com/

Alot of great info on themeing and the like can be pulled from outside sources. Good Luck.

Biteronboard No worries, if all goes well, I will release several other themes.

I want to be able to contribute to the XOOPS community and offer my themes, mods and knowledge

I read over the FAQs already, one of the first things I did before posting my question. Just was not sure if the steps would be the same or different since it was a template for something else first.

Ya any 5 column template will be easy to port to XOOPS.
