A full description of the issue:
I am trying to set up the mail setup in the System Module. I am trying to use the php mail() option, however, there is no notifications being done on the site. I tested using the admin account and a general basic user account. I set the notifications and made the changes that should trigger the mail, yet no mail is ever recieved. I turned on the debug messages, and there is no error messages relating to the mail.

Is there anything specific I need to do to get the mail setup done so the notifications will work to send emails to the users email address listed in the profile?

After doing a bit of Googling, it seems that phpmailer [phpmail()] is not compatable with PHP5.

Does your hosting provider offer the option of using PHP4? Alternately, have you tried using sendmail or SMTP?
