Google adsence knocked me back!

They say that I have pages behind a login, thats kinda true.

How can I mod the permissions so that I have plenty to see and click on (forum etc) without having to register

many thanks

Re: Google adsence knocked me back!

Kinda strange question. Are you asking how to change permissions? Of so, just goto System Admin - Groups and change the anonymous group.

If your question is something else, please clarify.
Oracle: I'd ask you to sit down, but, you're not going to anyway. And don't worry about the vase.
Neo: What vase?
[Neo turns to look for a vase, and as he does, he knocks over a vase of flowers, which shatters on the floor.]
Oracle: That vase.
Neo:...

Re: Google adsence knocked me back!

anonymous users will need module access rights to view module pages, as well as permissions set in the specific modules preferences.

Block access rights must be granted for any blocks you want viewable also.

Re: Google adsence knocked me back!

thats great, got that sorted.

now anonymous users can see the forum, thats what i wanted but they can also post messages. How can I stop that from happening?

Re: Google adsence knocked me back!

What version forum are you using? If CBB you would use the permissions tab in the modules Admin page to set the permissions.

There are considerable differences. Try the help docs thread below.

Re: Google adsence knocked me back!

Shuld be 2.0, as 2.2 does not have other modules except pm and extended profile.

2.0 comes with version 1.0 of newbb (you could check that in system admin -> modules, there is verion column).

If that is your case, go to system admin -> forum -> edit forum and chose the forum you want to edit. Then in "Access Level:" drop down menu select "Registered users only" and for "Type:" select "Public" and click on "Save changes".

You will have to do that for all forums.

Re: Google adsence knocked me back!

turns out the standard forum that comes with v2 isnt what im looking for, tried installing cbb 302 but it just completely screws up the admin section (makes all the modules dissapear)

any ideas
