is there a default forum to use, cant see it in the admin section.

if not what is the best one to use?

is there a document that explains how to change the arrangement etc and hw to add images an html

As you are runin XOOPS 2.2.3 or 2.2.4 as i can see you must go with THIS forum .

How to change arangement...not sure what you meen but if you ment the way your site looks , check THIS Themes Library here on the site.

How to add images in site you can check THIS ,THIS ,THIS , and THIS FAQ's, for further asistance just use the forum

If you have the 2.2.3 vesion you MUST check THIS article and proceed as described there.
However the 2.2.4 version is labeled as NOT RECOMENDED as you could see in the download section and it should NOT be used on a production site, but that doesn't mean it won't work for you as are some that have it runing and some experience several isues discused here in the forums.

REMEMBER to backup anytime you make important changes to your site
