Hello everybody i've just began using this CMS and I would like to make the HTML/Static pages appear on the menu as a first level section. I'll explain better: I have got an HTML page (seomthing like "About us") and I downloaded some HTML/Static page modules (C-Jay and Content, from this site) but i can't let them place the wrapped HTML page onto the menu, because they usually place it in a sub-menu.

So, that's what i have:

-Home
-Private Messaging
-Extended profiles
-News
-C Jay Content
----About us <----------

and that's what i'd like to get:

-Home
-Private Messaging
-Extended profiles
-News
-About us

I hope i explained it well

Thanks in advance

You should check out Solo's MultiMenu add on to replace the regular menu. It's extremely flexible/customizable.

You can find news about it and the latest download here.

There are additional add on modules which will also allow you to customize your menu. You may want to search the module repository if MultiMenu isn't to your liking.

ehm....maybe i'm not understanding well, but i've installed the add-on and now that's the menu i get, after linking one page:

Main Menu
-Home
-Private Messaging
-Extended profiles
-News
-multimenu <-----------
---multiMenu01 <-----------

and clickin multiMenu01 it shows a page with a list of the page i linked (in this case just about_us.htm)...how can i manage to set multiMenu01 to be the general menu so i should have something like this?

Main menu
-About Us

sorry for my low understanding but it's the first time i try to use a CMS...

thanks for the help

Check for the blocks of the module. That's where the most important part are.

Since you have installed multimenu, you should then click the visible checkbox next to the module (in the module adminpanel)

Then you should go to the multimenu section of the adminpanel, and click the multimenu01. this will take you to a form where you can add links. Then simply add the links you want.

Then go to block administration, and find and create a multimenu01 block and place it where you want it to be.

I hope this help,
Regards,
André Thoresen

if you want to link the first-level menu items to several static pages,
why not edit the template file manually?
