I am ready to upload XOOPS to my site, but I'm wondering something.. You have 3 main directories, Docs, Extras and HTML. I'm curious if you can put everyhting in the HTML dir into the main directory??

I like XOOPS but I don't like you click something the links all look like /site.com/html/modules/modulename I'm wondering if theres possibly a way to just make it like /site.com/modulename ???

I presume you can rename any module directory to change how the link looks, like change newbb to forum so it looks like /forum ???

Also I'm wondering where do you put the XOOPS site themes?? In /extras or in html/themes ???

Let me know.

Have you read any of the FAQ or other docs that explain how to install XOOPS?

You upload everything in the html folder.

Not quite that simple, you would need to change all hard coded reference to the module name, some modules are more dynamic than others, however there are some modules which allow a simple change of directory name, I believe the myabum module from Peak allow this.

More info can be found by using the search feature of reading docs.

Take care

You might find the thread to docs in my link below useful as a tool for finding your way around managing your XOOPS site.
