To be honest with you mate... no I didnt.. only thing I saw in read was the words Empty & Drop.

Hope I get to the bottom of this as its really starting to make my site look awful and unadministered

can you check it, sounds like it should be easy to spot if it's fixed?

BTW optimize(should appear on right, (or you can go to operations) after you click each table) the _bb_ tables on principal while your in there

I'll have to check with some users mate. I dont seem to have a problem posting when I am on my laptop at work (which I am now) but when at home it happens constantly.

I will reply asap with a YES or NO. Thanks for the help... fingers crossed

Thats the thing peterr, users were not even returning to even try. I have a few users that have come back over the past few days to try and one being a close friend has to hit submit nearly 30 times until it eventually posts

I'm probably getting you confused with someone else, but didn't this problem start when the auto-login hack was installed ?

Yes thats the one but obviously other members of XOOPS have asked me to look at other areas aswell.. tripmon today asked me to repair the database

And just to let you all know. A user has just told me that they have just had the INVALID SUBMISSION error while trying to post. So it is still occurring

If everything was working okay before the ato-login hack, and then problems started after the hack was installed, _that_ would be the aprimary area to look, unless other parametsr have also changed, like server config, php settings, sessions/cookie control,etc.

I noticed one comment from the auto login hack ..

When the compare was done on the 'newbb' version you are using, against the 1.16 version, we found some differences. Possibly the auto-login hack has not been backed out properly ?

I see in one of the documents from the auto login hack

Was the auto login hack version 3 ? Would it help to get in contact with the author of the hack, as it seems obvious there are still 'remnants' of the hack on your site.

The error message is coming from lines 124 to 131 of /modules/newbb/post.php

backup the file /modules/newbb/post.php and add these lines before the error message, before line 128

$from = "ichi_uk@example.com";
$subject = "Invalid submission error message";
$message = "token_valid = $token_validn";
$message .= "time_valid = $time_validn";
$headers = "From: $fromn"
mail( $to, $subject, $message, $headers);


change the vars $from and $to, post a topic, and see what the email gives you.
