Hello all
I am new with XOOPS..
I've downloaded the latest release but can't install it. Do i need a web hosting to do that? I don't have a web hosting at the moment & thinking of playing around with XOOPS at my local first. Can it be done? pls help..since i can't seem to install the XOOPS that i've downloaded..
Really wanna learn how to XOOPS..

It can be done if you set your local machine up as a webserver. What O/S do you use?

These are IMO the best for the 3 main O/S's:

Linux: LAMP
Mac: MAMP
Windows: WAMP

I use Xampp..is that ok?
I've tried installing using the documentation available and pasted the html folder to my htdoc but it cannot be done..what else can i do??
