How do I upgrade from an older version?

I'm currently running version 2.0.10, how do I upgrade to the latest version?

Do I really have to do all the small upgrades like 2.0.10 to 2.0.12a and so on?

You could download all the patches, combine them starting with the oldest to the newest then upload the proper files to your installation.

Do not forget to backup your site before making any upgrades.

But otherwise I "just" have to overwrite existing files with the new patch-versions, right? And take care of code that I have changed within these files...
