How to import RSS content by news module 1.44

I want to display other site's news on my site. They can supply rss file. but i just read the history of news module 1.44. and it didn't mention about rss import function but only outport function.

i know headline module has such function. but i don't want to use too much modules, and i want to use local news at the same time.

could anybody can explain how to add such function for news module 1.44? thank you very much!!

At the moment, this is not possible for the news module. For one, the structure of the news posts doesn't match the RSS feeds you want to import. So no, I don't think this is an easy thing to add.
