I hope this question hasn't been answered 10times and i just can't find it but. Does anyone know how i can change the info XOOPS asks for from new members upon registration?

yup many times.. and it depends on what version of XOOPS you are using.

xoops 2.2.3 allows you to define fields through admin..

xoops 2.0.x series requires hacking the core, of which you may find tedious, but i have done a hack which you may find useful and which you may find it easy to follow in how to add more fields than the hack does.

i'm not afraid of tedious work. I just need someone to point out what files i need to edit and what not.
