Hello,

First of all, i'm a php-uber-noob
I really want to know if it is possible for visitors to place a comment, with their name, on my pics, weblog etc...

When a visitor places a comment it only says anonymous.
I want people to fill in their name and then comment.

Plz help!

Don't know about XOOPS 2.2.x, but within XOOPS 2.0.13.x it infortunately isn't possible as far as I know. It is however a feature which is requested several times.

Yeah right, obvious and wellknown. But that isn't the question.

Why isn't it possible for unregistered users to enter a name other than the standard overal xoopsadmin setting: guest/anonymous.
Second: as soon the registered user who placed comments/postings a.s.o isn't a member anymore, their registered name(s) vanishes also and all their done postings/comments gets the namestatus: by guest/anonymous.
Which offcourse wasn't at the time of writing them.

Closest i've seen to this is the "Guest" option in CBB...
