Smarty - do I need to install it?

I just moving my XOOPS websites from a shared hosting plan to a VPS. My question is, does a XOOPS installation include all the Smarty template stuff it needs, or do I need to install the Smarty libraries on my server?.
A thread is for life. Not just for Christmas.

I believe it will all be included by default.

Everything that you need for Smarty is included in the XOOPS installation.
