Upgrading Xoops

I have a quick question that I couldnt find an answer for. I was reading through alot of the faq, and came across a spot that says not to install XOOPS if your webhost offers it preinstalled. Well, I did this before I read that, and got alot of my layout up and going already.

If I upgrade, will I loose all that I have already done?? Is there any way to preserve the blocks Ive made plus all alterations to all other blocks??

just upgrade as usual.. don't use the upgrade on your webhost tho.. personally i can't understand why or where the comment about not manually installing if your webhost offers it pre installed comes from.. in reality auto installers on fantastico tend to screw things up or install older versions..

if you're already using 2.0.13.2 then i wouldnt bother updating to 2.2..

Im on 2.0.13.1. If there is no big difference, then I will follow your advice and stick with what I have. Thanks

use 13.2, its an update that closes some important security holes..
