If it's wordpress 2 - this is a very slow module, and this is because of Wordpress - not Xoops.

no no I don't have wordpress installed, I put this only as example.

Well stats are like this:

PHP Version: PHP Version 4.3.11
Mysql Version: 2.7.0 ( This is quite old right?)

are you sure that is your MySQL version, and not the phpMyAdmin version??

How can I check which version is mysql??

edit: with phpinfo(); I found this under mysql:

Client API version 3.23.49

I saw that version 2.2.3 requests MySQL 3.23 so I think that this somehow isn't the problem...
