If you want us to help you, you will have to explain your question more. The 'can I add a banner' part I understand, but what do you mean by 'between news'? Do you mean within a news post? Or between the news intro and the extended news text? Or between news posts in a news category overview?

Do you use the standard XOOPS banner system? If you do, and only use it once in a page (meaning only one banner on a page, not two), you could try editing the news module temnplates and add <{$xoops_banner}> in there. It may trigger the banner code.

You could try this - however I'm unsure the best way to install this into the page...

With AMS 2.41 you can put banner/sponser in all news when you submit new news.
