Hello everyone:
hope that somebody may give me an idea what´s on in the news module in one of my XOOPS-Sites (1.3 and 1.4.4).
After creating a new TOPIC I can see it in the dbase but not in the topiclist (admin and enduser).

What I am doing wrong?

You need to set the permissions for that topic to be viewed. That goes for the Webmaster as well.

From the admin menu goto Modules/News/Permissions. On that tab you will see a pull down with the following choices.

-Approve Permissions
-Submit Permissions
-View Permissions

Set each of those permissions to what you feel is appropriate for Anonymous Users, Registered Users and Webmasters. You should then be able to view the topics that you add. Obviously you will probably want to restrict the Approve and Submit Permissions to Webmasters and or Registered Users respectively and View Permissions to everyone.
