hi guys im new here and i hope is the one im looking for my first upcoming website...i want to put up a portal and i think php will be the best script i will use.actually iam a ASP guy trying to shift to php. so this is my question is XOOPS is capable to what skyportal have? actually i like the features of skyportal.com have but ASP glory days is over... anyone here can help me what modules should i download to get what skyportal features have here in XOOPS tnx!

From a quick look - I don't think theres anything here that XOOPS cannot do.

Skynet seems to include a number of modules as default. So if you download XOOPS 2.0.13.2, CBB, a good gallery and a good content module - you will have most of what you need.

I have been using XOOPS for quite a while now and every site I have built I have never had any problems finding the right module for anything I have wanted to do. If you get stuck and can't find the module you need, ask in the module requests forum for it, everyone is extremely helpful and someone usually knows of one that will help you.

Sorry if this is no help, just my experiences.

PS. I know it says I have been a member since the end of last year, but I was actually a member for ages before that, justlost my username and p/w.
