Confirmation mail to new user fails (2.2.4)

When a new user subscribes to my testsite (xoops 2.2.4) this message appears :

You are now registered. However, we were unable to send the activation mail to your email account due to an internal error that had occurred on our server. We are sorry for the inconvenience, please send the webmaster an email notifying him/her of the situation.


I have php debug on, but see no error, as admin I can sent mails to user, so the mail system seems to function.

Could it have something to do with the fact that I'm using dutch language files?

I copied the english file into the dutch files, updated system module and so on, but still no result.

I can mail a user, can send new activation mail, but when a new user registers, no mail is send, the message is that an activation mail could not be send due to an internal error.

Anyone?

Ok, it's solved.
I deleted the folder Framework/xoops22 and now an activation mail is sent.
