I did the latest upgrade to XOOPS and had a couple problems with different modules. So I tried to go back down to an earlier version.
get a fatal error if I go to
http://happeningsmag.com/kcms
Although, I can access the modules
http://happeningsmag.com/kcms/modules/news
Get the same fatal error if trying to log in.

A few more details would be helpful:
- XOOPS versions
- exact error
- modules

Tried to go back down to 2.0.13.2
from 2.2.4 upgrade

when I go to http://happeningsmag.com/kcms
I get this error:
Fatal error: Call to a member function on a non-object in /home/carmicha/public_html/kcms/class/theme.php on line 499

All the regular modules are displaying ok
XCGal, news, newbb, edito

Have you tried using the default theme?

If I can't log in, how do I change back to the theme.
I think the XOOPS_ROOT_PATH is wrong.
How do I correct it?

try to login by going to the page:

http://happeningsmag.com/kcms/user.php

If you can login, then go to:
http://happeningsmag.com/kcms/admin.php

XOOPS_ROOT_PATH is set in the mainfile.php.
This will have to be edited outside your site - ftp the file, make changes, then put it back if it isn't local system.

Still get the fatal error there too.
Looks like the root path is correct also.
I don't know what to do.

I've never downgraded a site before. Try to search the forums for further info. I know Mith put out a downgrade script but I don't know anything further on that.
