It looks nice on your site, I guess with a little hacking I would get what I want, but that's step two..

step one is to make it work at least as it is at xoopsmalaysia

Yes. Currently it only works with news module (latest or previous version).

This version is still in alpha. You've to make sure you've image in all your category. Go to admin menu -> xmspotlight to change spotlight news.

well it works now.. :)

need to do some work on it, how difficult a hack will it be to display some text for each category (in the 4 squares below) and maybe add a couple more of those squares? :)

I guess at the moment it cannot pick the latest X posts and put them in the spotlight automatically can it?

I am working on it, trying to make it a bit more compact with fewer empty spaces and probably 6 categories..

I will get back once I have something worthy

Well guys (and girls) here it is ..

have a look, unfortunately the only way I found to be able to autodisplay the last news on the front page was to use the normal Spotlight and XMS Spotlight together..

I sort of made them look alike...

have a look at the result and I am also waiting comments for the new design-theme (although not in english)
