A possibly useful information in the preparation for re-design, might be to find our whether or not there's a browsing path most visitors have.
This can help in placing certain informed emphasises in the theme..

Best wishes,

Aharon

I think we should make the left block visible by default and the right block invisible. Nevertheless, the user will be able to use a control button to make both blocks visible and invisible! There should be a font cntrol menu as well, just like Joomla! To be more initiative, we can even develop the idea and make a pop up page that has all kinds of controls for the website look. For instance, this page can contain controls such as page text color, text size, text style, text boldness, text italics, and ... .

When reviwing a theme for a XOOPS member I've played with the script that gives users control over left and right blocks visibility. No sure that's the best solution... but just for the theme structure:

Resized Image

And the theme:

Thats a very good looking theme, and the content plan is quite good as well.

I like damsters idea and theme! Except that you'll need to put Xoops' logo somewhere! Otherwise, it's the best that I have seen yet!

Sorry, it was not intended to xoops.org but to illustrate how it looks with left block switch off.
