Hello
I tryed everything on faq about "blank pages" but my server dont allow errors to be shown ...
When i try to go to global settings ( admin.php ) it just tell me alot of notice ( because of the debug mode) i can turn it off but it just give me a blank page.
Anyone have any idea what to do?

Oh yeah and all other uses of admin.php work... just global settings doenst work.

I just downloaded the latest version of XOOPs today v2.2.3a.

I have read to disable debug mode, which I had to do via phpMyAdmin since I was unable to login to the XOOPs admin panel. All that done was blank pages. The next suggestion was to doa clean install since it might have been a corrupt installation. I deleted all files, folders, and even the database. Uploaded all the files again, created a new database and username [even used a different dbname and username this time]. I still get the same problem.

i just uploaded my website to my friend site and WOW magic everthing worked without any problem :P

Well, I prefer a more technical answer than just calling web hosts "sucky." I decided to change the modification in phpMyAdmin back and use the recovery tool just to make sure I was modifying the correct variable, which I was.

I stumbled on the FAQ of "Why do I have blank pages?" I tried everything in order. Solution number 7, "Make sure that the cache, uploads, templates_c directories are CHMOD 777 (anonymous r/w permission on Windows."

I had my directories set to 666. When initially installing, it stated I could use 666 or 777. I always prefer giving as least amount of permissions as possible when installing scripts.

I know, this should have clicked earlier.. However, the old saying, better late than never.
