I can not for the life of my figure out how to display News on the front page without having to place NEWS as the starting module in General Settings.

The Block options seem to only be for BIG STORY, MODERATE NEWS, NAVIGATE THROUGH TOPICS, NEWS TOPICS, RANDOM NEWS, RECENT NEWS. None of which display the News in the way that having the front page Module in general settings set to News does.


I know there is a simple answer to this. Anyone have it?

OK I decided to go with a News Topics Block on my main page

I am not getting any topics displayed though. Just one single drop down box.

Use the recent news block. Make sure that you have selected what topics to display, or you won't see anything. It's pretty straightforward - a caveman could do it.
